Beyond the Proposal: How Every Client Interaction Builds Your Brand

An organization's logo isn't its brand; it's simply one expression of it. A brand is built through every interaction a client has with an organization, from their first impression to the moment they receive the final deliverable. Every proposal, presentation, email, meeting and conversation either reinforces a company's brand...or undermines it. In this session, we'll explore how a brand extends beyond mere visual identity to encompass every client touchpoint, and why marketers and business development professionals play a critical role in shaping that experience.

Members will leave the session able to:

  1. Develop a broader understanding of how client experiences shape brand perception.
  2. Understand how consistent messaging and client experiences work together to strengthen a brand.
  3. Apply practical strategies to create more consistent, client-centered communications that strengthen their organization's brand.‌

Event Speaker:

Adrienne Boi-Doku, Sr Communications Manager at WildBrain

Over the last 10-plus years, Adrienne has built a career combining her background in communications with brand strategy to bring organizational mission, vision and values to life through meaningful experiences, people-centred messaging and strategic storytelling. Whether it's shaping culture from within or helping define a brand, she’s always driven by the same goal: creating experiences that genuinely connect with the people they're meant to serve.

Alongside her career in corporate communications, Adrienne has also led branding initiatives for entrepreneurs and nonprofit organizations through her branding studio, Mighty Bean Co. Her greatest takeaway from those experiences? The strongest brands are built when what an organization says matches what its audience people experiences.

A proud multi-hyphenate, Adrienne has worked in journalism, corporate communications, nonprofit, branding and entrepreneurship — proof that a communications degree can take you almost anywhere, and that trying something new (even if it doesn't work out) is often what leads to the next great opportunity.
