Speaker Presentation - 5:30pm - 6:30pm
Influence and Impact: A Leadership Mindset for Cross-Functional Roles, a Presentation by Vanja (VJ) Terzic

Marketing and proposal professionals are often expected to drive results while working across teams, functions, and stakeholders they don’t directly manage. This session is designed specifically for those navigating that reality.

Together, we’ll explore what it means to adopt a leadership mindset in this environment—and how that translates into day‑to‑day work. From setting clearer priorities to engaging internal stakeholders and managing competing demands, this session focuses on practical ways to lead without formal authority.

This will be a highly interactive session, giving participants the opportunity to reflect on real challenges they are currently facing. Through small group discussions and simple, actionable frameworks, attendees will work through these challenges alongside their peers.

The goal is to create a space for practical problem-solving, shared insight, and peer learning—not just theory.

Key Takeaways

Participants will leave with:

  1.  A clearer understanding of what a leadership mindset looks like in their role
  2. Greater insight into their own challenges and where they tend to get stuck
  3. Practical strategies to improve alignment, communication, and collaboration across teams
  4. The opportunity to learn from peers and apply new approaches to real work situations

By the end of the session, participants will walk away with actionable ideas they can apply immediately, along with increased confidence in how they show up and navigate their work.
